August Favorites 2015

It's been a whopping total of four months since I've done a favorites post, but I've really accumulated some products over these last few months that I just needed to share with you. I haven't strayed from any of these products since I've purchased them and it's because I've finally found makeup products that give me the exact look I want.

1. Body Shop Body Butter in 'Mango'

I've talked about these body butters before in my favorites because they simply are the best. Basically this whole summer I've been exclusively using this moisturizer, I even had to buy the travel size because I couldn't go a day without it while traveling.

 2. Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in 'Stromboli'

I always have a heck of a time finding foundation that matches my skin tone perfectly, but this one really did the trick for me. I've been using this for a few months and can tell you it really is worth the money. It stays on my face all day and covers everything while still looking super natural. If you want a full review on this foundation let me know down below!

3. Maybelline Master Conceal in 'Medium'

I recently r=discovered this concealer and if you're looking for a great drugstore steal this is it. I bought it for $7 at Target and it conceals any and every imperfection I have on my face without a doubt.

4. Anastasia Brow Wiz in 'Chocolate'

I know everyone and their mother raves about this product, and that I'm very late on the band wagon, but it simply is a great brow product. I hate over done brows and I'm always scared that I will end up with them after I do my makeup. This product makes it so easy to control how much you put on and makes it very easy to fix any mistakes.

5. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in 'Dark Brown'

I've been using Stila Stay All Day for years and have loved it whole heartily although I've never strayed from the black color. I wanted something slightly more natural so I went for their dark brown liner and I haven't touched my black one since. I love the look of brown liner. I think it defines your eyes without giving the impression that you're too done up.

6. Benefit High Beam

Before this I had never purchased a highlighter, I always felt it was an extra product I didn't really need and that I could save time by skipping it. I've found however that this is an essential to my makeup routine. It gives me the perfect glow that makes me look more awake and gives my face dimension throughout the day.

7. Benefit Benetint

Lately I've been really into cream and liquid products so I thought I'd pick this up and give it a try. I'd heard mixed reviews about it and I wasn't sure at first, but I'm really glad I bought it. This gives the most perfect flush to my cheeks and it's exactly what I've been looking for in a blush. I like to apply it using my MAC 168 brush and it applies perfectly.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I've been loving these last few months. If you have any requests of posts you'd like to see please leave them down below!

April Favorites 2015

I haven't done a favorites post in what seems like forever I think the last one I did was at Christmas time so I thought it was definitely time to share what I've been loving.

L'Oreal Pop Balm in 518 "Tender Mauve"

Starting off with what I believe to be my favorite of the favorites is this perfect spring lipstick. I have not found a color or a formula I like so much in a long time. This lipstick gives off the perfect amount of hydration to the lips without sacrificing pigmentation to the lipstick. This rosey toned pink is one of those shades that I know will make my face look better no matter what. I'm definitely going to have to try out more colors from this range. If you have any suggestions please leave them in the comments!

Body Shop Body Butter in "Peach"

I bought this body butter last year at the end of the summer when I was moving on from fruity scents, but getting back in to spring I've rediscovered it and absolutely love the scent along with the perfectly classic formulation of the Body Shop's body butters.

NYX Blush in "Pinched"

This is the first NYX blush I've tried and I have to say I'm impressed. This blush gives the perfect flush of color and shimmer allowing me to skip the 'highlighting my cheeks' step of my makeup when I don't have that extra minute.

Marc Anthony Coconut Hair Oil

I've never really liked the idea of hair oil just because my roots are already so oily. Recently though my ends have been so dead and I needed something to help repair and replenish them so I saw this at the drugstore and picked it up. This really just hydrates you're hair and helps with flyaways without making your hair a greasy oily mess. A definite must try in my books!

Body Shop Hand Cream in "Strawberry"

The Body Shop really knows how to do moisturizing. In Canada for the most part we're still enduring some winter like weather and I've been getting dry skin that needs help asap everyday. This has been a life saver for my hands, and it's 'fresh field of strawberries' scent doesn't hurt either.

Clean & Clear Night Relaxing Wipes

This is my new favorite way to remove my makeup. For the most part this takes off all my makeup no fuss about it and leaves me with soft unirritated skin that I'm really thankful for.

Revlon Lash Potion Mascara in "Brownish Black"

I got this mascara about a year ago and I absolutely hated it. I don't know what made me pull it back out to try, but I'm really glad I did. This gives the most perfect natural fluttery lashes that are just so timeless for a fresh faced spring or summer makeup look. I've been loving wearing a more glowing and natural makeup look this time of year and this is the cherry on top for me.

I hope you enjoyed reading about some of my favorites, if you have any favorite products you've been loving please let me know down below because I'm always open to trying new things.

Thank You,

January Favorites 2015!

Well it's been a fair while since I wrote a post, my uploading schedule didn't quite go so well. That aside though I thought I'd share what I've been loving this past month because it's one of my favorite posts to write. January being the month after Christmas allows me to have a lot of new products to try so I thought it'd be nice to share them with you.

1. The Body Shop 'All in One BB Cream' in the shade '03'

I've never been a huge fan of BB Creams because I feel I just need more coverage than they're able to provide. This one however is fantastic, it comes out white and matches your skin tone as you blend it in. That being said there are four different shades and they definitely suit lighter skin tones, I wear the darkest and I am no where near a dark skin tone. Besides not being suitable for everyone this is a great product with  great coverage and a beautiful flawless finish.

2. Bath and Body Works' 'Winter Candy Apple 24 Hour Moisture Ultra Shea Body Cream'

This is a long time favorite I come back to ever year. This is a limited edition Christmas scent that is brought out only for the months of November and December. What I love about this is that the scent is not strictly Christmas it's completely okay to wear this scent after Christmas. The scent is an amazing sweet sugary scent without being over powering. The reason this is in my favorites though is not because of the scent, it's because of the product it's self. I went on holidays to Hawaii for Christmas making my skin slightly dry and peeling afterwards. This is fantastic because it moisturizes and stays moisturized for hours. I can apply this in the morning and my skin still feels moisturized when I come home from school.

3. First Aid Beauty 'Ultra Repair Cream'

Now I'm sure this is not an unknown product to any of you. It's a highly raved about product and there's a great reason for that. This is the best and most hydrating moisturizer and it doesn't leave my skin greasy or oily at all. I love how big the tub it comes in is because I feel I'm really getting my money's worth. Again while on my way to Hawaii the plane did terrible things to my skin, it was super dry and patchy, and my moisturizer wasn't cutting it. I picked this up at Sephora while I was there and I'm so glad I did.

4. Zoya's 'Madeline'

I've been obsessed with this polish this past month. It is the perfect medium between a nude and pink and  mauve. It's one of those colors you just know you have to have the moment you see it. It's definitely a color I can wear all year round and be super happy with.

5. The Body Shop Eyeliner in 'Black'

I got this in my Body Shop advent calender and I've been using everyday since. It's just a great classic pigmented black kohl liner perfect for my waterline. It also has a smudging tool on the other side if you like to smoke out your liner.

6. Quo Blending Sponge

Now I've never tried the beauty blender but other reviews I've read on this say it's a complete dupe. This sponge is amazing for blending my concealer. I personally don't like it for blending foundation I feel I get a nicer coverage with my Real Techniques Brush, but for concealer I seriously don't know how I lived without it before.

7. Lancome 'Hypnose Star' Mascara

Holy moly what did my lashes do without this product. It is seriously the best mascara. I have tried many many mascaras and nothing will come close to this one. I makes my lashes long and volumized without making them clumpy or spidery. Really all I can say is go try this out you will not be disappointed in the slightest.

That's all my January favorites.I hope you guys enjoyed this post, and I have a Sephora haul coming soon so watch out for that. If you guys have any favorites for this month or any post requests please leave them down below.

Thank You,

K

Top 14 Beauty Products of 2014!

Besides the fact that I'm almost two weeks late, I'm so excited to share my favorites of 2014! I have been MIA on this blog for about the past three months, but hopefully this year I will be able to keep a more constant schedule. I'm starting off slow and realistically so that I'm able to keep up. Expect a new post every other Sunday. With that being said I'm going to talk about my beauty favorites.

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation
(For my full review on this product click here)

I've used this foundation for about six months now and I still love it as much as I did in the beginning. For girls who want a medium to full coverage but a very natural one that allows your skin to breathe I'd definitely recommend this to you.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush

This brush goes hand in hand with the foundation. It allows everything to blend smoothly and seamlessly. I don't think I'll ever be able to find a brush that works as well as this one and with a $8 price tag you just can't get better.

 Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

This concealer has been a favorite of mine for years, but it still has to be included. I have horrific under eye circles and I've tried many products, but the only thing that works to conceal them is this beautiful masterpiece right here. It stays on all day, doesn't crease, and applies evenly. I'll never be able to say enough good things about this except go try it out!

Clean and Clear Morning Burst Gel Moisterizer

I only included one skincare item, but I found it essential to do so. If you're looking for a lightweight moisturizer for under your makeup check this one out. I've found it's the best source of moisture under my makeup that doesn't feel greasy. It keeps moisture all day, but it never leaves me feeling overpowered by moisturizer.

L'Oreal Elnett Satin Hairspray

Best hairspray out there. This stuff is seriously amazing. You don't get that crunchy feeling of hairspray when you use this. It's super light weight allowing your hair to breathe. It holds my curls in all day even with the fact that you can't feel in in your hair. I'd heard other people talk about this product before and didn't think there actually was a hairspray without and crunchy feeling but this is it. Definitely check this one out if you haven't already.

Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush

I have three different colors in this blush and I've used them equally throughout the year so I didn't find it fair to narrow it down to one. The first color is Peach Satin, which is the one pictured, this is a stunning pinky coral, I've found this one looks best on tan skin, so it was definitely most loved in the summer and on holidays. Pink Frosting is also a gorgeous color, an everyday pink that I will never get enough of. And the last color Plum Wine which I actually picked up towards the end of the year is a beautiful plummy purple best suited in the fall and winter. These are best applied with a brush and give the best long lasting glowing color to your cheeks.

B. Glowing Shimmer Block in Just Peachy

I got this in August and I kid you not have worn it everyday. It such a gorgeous highlight. When the colors are mixed together it gives a golden glow. I use this over top of my blush and up to my cheek bones just to help the light catch the high point of my face.

Revlon Lipstick in Temptress

This is my favorite everyday pink of all times. As you can see from the picture it is very well loved. For me it's the perfect my lips but better color. It's just a nice rose pink lip that I don't think you can get better than.

Covergirl Glossbalm in Jam Twist

Somehow I managed to narrow it down to two lip colors so this is my second one. I love this one for the fall and winter cause it's a really natural way to wear a berry lip. You can sheer this product out so nicely that it just gives a flush when you don't want that huge statement for everyday wear.

Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyliner

I love the formulation if this eyeliner. It really is waterproof and will stay all day whether I'm swimming in a pool or bawling my eyes out it manages to stay on all day. It has an incredibly thin felt tip which allows for a very precise application.

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion

There are so many people that rave about this and for a good reason. It keeps my eyeshadow on all day without fear of creasing. Definitively a product I'll be repurchasing in the near future.

Milani Brow Fix Kit

If you're not willing to spend big bucks for high end brow products this is a great one. I think only paid maybe $5 for this and it's fantastic. I believe it come in 3 or 4 shades and I love the one I use which is in medium brown. I love how it comes a brush and how natural it allows your brows to look.

Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze

I've had this for two years and never really discovered how much I love it until about eight months ago when I started applying it with a brush. These are freaking amazing. I'd definitely suggest using a brush to apply because it gives a much more even and flawless look than applying it with your finger.

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

Apologies for not being able to get the whole thing in a picture. With that aside this is my favorite palette I've ever tried. Super creamy shadows with great pigmentation. It has gorgeous neutrals as well as some pops of color with the pink, purple, and maroon. I could go on forever so if you'd like me to do a full review on the palette just let me know in the comments.

That's it for my 2014 favorites. It was nearly impossible to narrow it down to 14 products but I think I did a fairly well job of it. Thank you to anyone who read any of my blog posts in the past year, I truly appreciate it. If any of you reading this posted a 2014 favorites I'd love to see it so link in the comments!

Thank you so much for an amazing year and an amazing year to come!

August Favorites 2014!

Surprisingly this month I barely any favorites. I do think my lack of favorites is partly due to my traveling. Something new I added in this months favorites is fashion favorites. My last two months have all been beauty products, but because I don't have a ton of beauty favorites I decided to show two of my most loved fashion favorites of August as well. I know I'll probably be trying a bunch of new things as fall rolls around, so hopefully next month I'll have more to share with you.

 1. NYX Matte Finish Setting Spray

I actually bought last August and through out the year I haven't used it a ton if I'm to be honest. This month however I decided to give it a try, and try my best to use it. I think this stuff is fantastic. I definitely notice a difference in how long and well my makeup lasts when I use this.
 2. BareTrap Sandals

You can tell by the picture how loved these sandals are. I have worn them almost everyday this month. I honestly think there's been about four days where I haven't worn them. They are super comfortable for walking and just all together the perfect summer sandal.

3. Tanya Burr Lip Gloss in 'Aurora'

This has been my new favorite go to lip gloss this month. I keep it in my purse anytime I'm going anywhere because I know it will touch up great on top of any lip color plus look flawless on it's own.

4. Brandy Melville Layla Hoodie

I'm going start off with the fact that I always take my own photos but I wasn't able to get a picture of this hoodie because I left it at a friend's house so I apologize for that. Basically this is the softest and comfiest light weight hoodie that ever existed. I can't stop wearing this it's an obsession and a problem, but I would definitely recommend this if you're able to get it. It's just super casual to throw on top of any outfit or on it's own with a pair of jeans or leggings, or even shorts.
5. B.Glowing Shimmer Block in 'Just Peachy'

This makes my skin look like I've been touched by an angel. It is completely perfect. It brings so much life to my face. I had no idea a product could do that before this came into my life. I believe this is a UK based brand, but I know Revlon sells a similar product so you could also check that one out.

6. Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation

I'm not going to go to in depth into this product because I already did a full review on it (Click Here), but I'll say a couple points about it. I think this is the perfect foundation for me and I'm 100% going to be using it into the school year as my primary foundation. I don't think the way my skin is right now that I will go back to using anything else anytime soon.

7. Maybelline Color Tatto in 'Bad to the Bronze'

Whilst on my trip to Europe I had almost no time to get ready in the morning and I found this saving me the most time. If you're ever in a hurry this is the perfect solution. You just swipe it on your eyelid and you're good to go. It literately takes five seconds and you can't mess it up.

That's all the favorites I have for this month. I don't know how my posting schedule is going to be as I head back to school, but I hope I can get more consistent than what I have right now.

Thank You,
K

July Favorites 2014

Another month has gone by, this one particularly bittersweet considering I started off this blog one month ago with my June Favorites and now I'm sharing my July Favorites. That aside I have nine products this month I want to share with you. I mostly have beauty products this month, but I've got a couple skincare items and one haircare product.

1. Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse

I've been using this for a few months now, but it wasn't until I went on vacation and didn't bring this with me that I realized how much I love it. After shower I let my hair towel dry for about ten minutes before applying this. I just squirt about a golf ball size lump of product into my hand and then distribute it throughout my roots. After that I blow dry my roots at the areas I've used the product and it leaves my hair super volumized. I have extremely flat hair and I feel like life is being brought to t when I use this product. (Was that too weird? Oh well.)

2. Covergirl BB Cream in 'Light to Medium'

I have a love hate relationship with this product. It gives absolutely no coverage what so ever. It's a moisturizer that appears to be tinted but is not once you apply it. At this point you may be questioning why is this in your favorites? Because it gives great moisture, and a great base for my powder to even out my skin. If you're looking for coverage in a BB Cream do not go anywhere near this, but if you want a base for a powder foundation or even just a powder then I would recommend this. I used this for the first three weeks of July when I really just wanted the naturalist skin and fresh easy face. Although I've moved on to something else at the moment I know this combo is something I'll come back to.

3. Revlon Nearly Naked Powder in 'Medium/Deep'

I bought this powder when I came back from Mexico, in other words I was very tan and am not that color anymore. That aside it's perfect to even out my skin when I'm not wearing foundation. I've been using this on top of my Covergirl BB Cream, and I really think it's just been a great natural look for my skin. This powder also keeps everything very matte all day so I don't have to worry about looking oily.

4. Simple Soothing Facial Toner

I've been using this morning and night to get rid of any excess dirt or oils on my face after removing my makeup and washing my face. It just gives your skin a smooth feel which is a great base to start your makeup on, or just a great feel to your skin. It has witch hazel which helps with the look of pores, and I've definitely noticed a difference while using this. This retails for I believe $7 and this bottle lasted me December to August so it's no harm on your wallet to pick this one up.

5. Clean & Clear Morning Burst Hydrating Gel Moisturizer

Keeping on with the skincare kick I've been loving this moisturizer. If you saw my June favorites you'd know last month I was in love with another moisturizer, which I still use time to time, but with that dry skin month I had clearing up I've found myself using something else. This moisturizer is oil free and is going to moisturizer your skin, but your not going to get oily patches anywhere. I use this in the night and wake up with baby bum smooth skin. Because it's so lightweight I can use it under my makeup too and it doesn't feel like I'm wearing any product, although where morning moisturizer is concerned I've mostly been using my Covergirl BB Cream.

6. Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser

I have fairly large pores and I hate it. I'm super self conscious about it and this product has really helped me. I feel it just smooths it out and blurs my pores very well. It leaves you with very soft skin and acts as a great primer for my foundation. If you're on the market for a drugstore primer you can check this one out. I've used to 'Benefit Porefessional' and I honestly see no difference between them, so go ahead and save yourself the money on this one.

7. Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in 'Pink Frosting'
When putting on makeup I never feel complete without blush. I think it brings life to my face so I don't look like a ghost. I've always felt powder blushes don't last long enough, I'll be out for the day and come back to the ghostly face. This however doesn't do that to me. I apply it with my fingers then lightly blend it out with a blush brush before setting it with a tiny bit of powder blush. This is the perfect look that keeps my cheeks flawless all day.

8. Maybelline Line Stiletto in 'Brownish Black'

Don't let the color name fool you, this is no where near 'Brownish Black'. This is a light true brown liner. As I mentioned before, I've been loving a natural fresh faced look so I turned to brown liner. I can't use anything but liquid liner on my top lash line so this was the perfect thing I needed. It defines my eyes and opens them up without making it look like I'm wearing eyeliner. It's so sutle and sweet and I've been absolutely loving it.

9. Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in 'Damsel'

The last product on my favorites list this month is another brown eyeliner. This is a pencil waterproof liner from Stila that I've been using in my waterline. I adore putting eyeliner in my waterline because I fell it gives my eyes the definition they need. I've just been using this on the outer half of my waterline to make my eyes pop without the harshness of a black liner. Out of all the products I've mentioned this is by far the most expensive. I only have it because it came with a palette, but I do think if you want a higher end eyeliner this is a great one to check out.

Thank you so much for reading this, and I hope you discovered some new products you might want to check out.
