Favorite Summer Fragrances!

Today I thought it'd be helpful to share my favorite summer fragrances with you. In the summer I prefer not to wear a heavy perfume, it just doesn't feel right to me, but I can't go without body spray. I'm addicted to Bath and Body Works body sprays, but I've found others I really like to. I'm sharing three with you because quite honestly I could share ten but then I don't absolutely love all ten. I'd be telling you about products I wouldn't miss when they're empty. These three I definitely would/will miss and I think everyone should hear about them.

My first fragrance is Beautiful Day by, you guessed it, Bath and Body Works. As far as my taste goes I would say I lean towards fruitier scents which would make sense considering the top notes include apple and pear. I just find this to be a very fresh refreshing scent that makes you smell clean. This is one of those scents you're able to wear all year round but it definitely suits towards spring and summer. I have this scent in the lotion and I also had the body wash last year, so needless to say it's a staple scent for me.
Top Notes: Sun-Kissed Apple, Dewy Pear,
                  Sparkling Cassis
Mid Notes: Wild Daisies, Lily of the Valley,
                   Fresh Pink Peony
Dry Notes: White Peach, Blonde Woods

Number two is White Mango Chill from Bath and Body Works. I purchased this in the mini bottle thinking I never use up the big ones might as well just go for this. Big mistake. This is a very beachy scent, so I limit myself to wearing this in the height of summer or on vacation. One good thing about the mini size is that it is super handy to take on vacation. I brought this to both my trip to Mexico and my trip to California. On both these trips this spray was great a light in the sweaty heat, which made me love it just that much more. Again it's definitely a fruity scent but it's got a mix of floral and light musk to balance
it.                                                                                   Top Notes: Fresh Red Raspberry, Blackberry,
                                                                                                        Tangerine, Strawberry, Water Lily,
                                                                                                         Blue Freesia, Frozen Melon
Mid Notes: White Mango, Jasmine, Muguet,
                                                                                                         Orange Blossom, Solar Floral
Low Notes: Blue Sugar Cane, Musk, Vanilla
                                                                                                         Bean, Creamy Sandalwood,

My final fragrance Motorcycle Belle, which is actually from Garage. If you're not familiar with Garage it is a clothing store, but I guess at some point they had a fragrance there. I actually received this as a gift from a friend, and I'm really glad I got it. I tried searching for some sort of a description of the scent but I couldn't find anything so I will try to explain it the best I can. It has a very sweet scent, knowing me there's probably some kind of fruit in it if I like it, but it smells very sugary. I also definitely smell rose in it, so to sum it up best I can it's a sugary, floral, girly scent that really has it's place maintained in spring and summer. Like the first fragrance I mentioned this is also a great clean scent that doesn't smell like perfume. It's almost as if you have adsorbed all the sweet scents from the fresh air around you. Now I honestly have no idea if you can get this still, but I do know they don't sell any fragrances on their website so you would have to go into a store to find it.

I really hope you found this post helpful and please don't be shy to leave a comment down below! Also as a note if you were wondering my nail polish is Yummy by Zoya. I hope you have a fantastic day!

My Summer Playlist!

Today I thought I would share with you the music I've been listening to this summer. This is mostly more upbeat music (in my mind, which is not very upbeat), though there is also a goof number of slower songs.  This is the playlist I listen to in the car on the way to the beach, when I'm hanging out with friends, even when I'm getting ready in the morning. I've put links to my favorite songs, but you should definitely check out the rest of all of these albums because they're great songs as well.

1. Wings - Birdy

2. Boom Clap - Charli XCX

3. Tee Shirt - Birdy (same iTunes link as #2)

 4.  This Is How We Do - Katy Perry

5. This Moment - Katy Perry (same iTunes link as #4)

6. She Looks So Perfect - 5 Seconds of Summer

7. Slow Motion - PHOX

8. Starlight - Taylor Swift

9. Photograph - Ed Sheeran

10. Sing - Ed Sheeran (same iTunes link as #9)

11. Chandelier - Sia

12. Scarecrow - Alex & Sierra

I know I had a lot of 'popular' songs on this list, but hopefully you found at least one song to add to your summer playlist. Please leave your favorites from your summer playlists in the comments, I'd love to hear them!

OOTD: Shopping Day July 13th, 2014

Today I'm sharing with you a sweet simple outfit you can wear on a hot day in summer. It was 36 degrees Celsius today (96.8 degrees Fahrenheit), what I would consider very hot for Canada. This is a typical outfit I would wear so that I don't feel sweaty or uncomfortable if I'm going to be outside a good portion of the day, or even inside.

 Necklace: Forever 21

Crop Top: Garage

Shorts: Winners (Brand: Angie)

Nail Polish: Mint Candy Apple by Essie

Purse: Call It Spring

Shoes: Payless (Brand: Montego Bay Club)

Unfortunately everything from this outfit was purchased at least a couple months ago so I was unable to leave links to each item, but I hope this gives you inspiration. These are fairly simple pieces that you will be able to find at all these stores. While out shopping today I actually saw both the shorts and top in store, so even though they're not online you will still be able to purchase them.
If you liked this post check out the rest of my blog and I'd love to see any comments anyone might have.

Favorite Drugstore Summer Lip Products!

In the summer I can't live without my lip products. More so than anytime of the year, I feel the need to put something on my lips and I'm always on the lookout for new lip products. Since I have this obsession I thought I would share my favorite products with you. Hopefully you get some help out of this post!

1.  Revlon Lip Gloss "Kiss Me Coral" #225

My first favorite is this super pretty coral lip gloss from Revlon. This gloss has a slight glitter which makes it unique enough to wear on it's own. It's not super pigmented, but there is definitely a fair amount of pigment for a gloss. I can put this gloss over anything to give a darker or more wintery lipstick a new summer look and that's probably my favorite thing about this.

 2. Maybelline Lipstick "Fifth Ave. Fuchsia" #160

I mentioned this lipstick in my June Favorites ( so I don't have too much more to say about it. It really is just a perfect pop of color for the summer. I've been wearing this with a very minimal eye look one or two times a week at least and loving it.

 3. Nivea Lip Butter "Vanilla & Macadamia"

This is one of my all time favorite lip care products. I use it daily all year round, but this specific scent is so tropical and screams summer. If you haven't tried Nivea's lip butters you need to try them. They are the most moisturizing things and they leave your lips feeling like heaven.

 4. Revlon Lipstick "Temptress"#680

This color is my 'your lips but better' color. It's slightly pinker than my natural lips and I already have naturally quite pink lips. It's a rosy pink that really just brings life to my face. I love the way this makes my lips look, especially in the spring and summer.

5. Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lipstain "Sweetheart" #25

I've had this product for over a year and it's still one of my favorites. This really does last. I can put this on eat dinner and be confident its still on my lips. Another plus about this is the scent it's got a really nice minty scent, and like most mint products, gives that nice tingle to your lips. This product is also super moisturizing and doesn't dry out my lips at all.
  6. Revlon Lip Butter "Wild Watermelon" #63

This is what /i would consider my summer red. I'm generally not one for red lips, but because this is more of a coral red I am totally fine to wear it. This a little more sheer than a lipstick so it's just really nice for a flush of color on any given day.

7. Blistex Chapstick With SPF 15

There's not really to much to say about this besides except it keeps my lips from getting chapped and protects against the sun. This is just my favorite chapstick and probably always will be

8. Maybelline Baby Lips "Peach Kiss" #30

This picture makes this product appear more brown than it actually is, but this is just a nice sheer wash of nude color. I love to use this for a base for glosses especially my Revlon "Kiss Me Coral" gloss. This also has SPF 15 so again perfect when you're out in the sun.

9. L'oreal Paris "Pink Resistance" #183

I believe this is some sort of a liquid lipstick. It drys non transferable with a really pretty natural pink color. This s also a great layering product I can put this over lipsticks for a cool look but it has a color of itself on it's own. One thing to mention is the scent. It has a kind of strange scent I can't really describe. I personally really like the scent, but I can see a lot of people being bothered by it.

That's all the products I have to share with you. Please follow if you enjoyed this post and and want to see more!
